April 28 Gel Printing Workshop in Hot Springs
Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of gel plate printing in the heart of downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Sunday, April 28, 2024, as part of the 10-day Arts in the Park festival. Our workshop will be conveniently located just across the street from Art Springs, a two-day, juried festival celebrating the finest artists and artisans in the region.

Whether you're a curious beginner or an experienced intermediate printer, this workshop promises to inspire and educate with a range of techniques.
Throughout the day, we'll explore:
Unlocking the potential of gel plate printing
Crafting your own unique texture tools, stamps, and stencils
Capturing the beauty of nature with botanical prints
Mastering layering techniques for depth and complexity
Exploring the art of color with various color schemes
Embracing spontaneity with random color application
All necessary supplies will be provided for use during the workshop. Feel free to bring along any stencils or stamping tools you already own, and if you're inclined, gather some botanical specimens (such as leaves or grasses) to incorporate into your prints (please ensure they're free of thorns or sharp points that could damage the gel plate). Wearing an apron or clothes you don't mind getting a little messy is recommended.
